Dr. Van Doren is a California native who did her undergraduate degree in rural upstate New York, and then came back to California for veterinary school. She graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 2007 and has been practicing at Laguna Creek Veterinary Hospital ever since. In addition to general practice and surgery for dogs and cats, she also has a special interest in exotics of all types. She routinely sees many species of reptiles, small mammals and companion birds, as well as backyard chickens, ducks and geese. Dr. Van Doren lives in Elk Grove with her husband and two kids, as well as her own menagerie of dogs, cats, a bird, fish and reptiles.
