Dr. Katherine Layton is a Sacramento native and grew up knowing she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 6 years old. She graduated with a BS in Animal Science from UC Davis. After graduating undergrad she moved to LA and spent several years as a veterinary technician before going to vet school at Ross University. She then completed her clinical year at LSU, graduating in 2012. After graduation she worked at a hospital in the San Fernando Valley for a year and a half before moving back to the Sacramento area. She lives in Elk Grove with her husband, 2 kids, their 14 year old tripod labrador and 3 cats. In her spare time she enjoys anything Disney and attending baseball games with her family.
